On this first transatlantic flight, I am inspired by the imagination of old corsairs and renegades who have been with me for many years and who left us a little more alone when they disappeared. As one of the most famous of the Salé Rovers and co-founder of the Bou Regreg pirate republics of 17th century, Mourad Reis The Younger, would say: "If this is what they call civilization, then refusing it is an obligation. Let us not forget the wolf's contempt for the domesticated dog." I am referring to the Pirate Utopias and the Temporary Autonomous Zones of Hakim Bey aka Peter Lamborn Wilson, Cities of the Red Night, by William Burroughs and one of the world's great saxophone masters, Pharoah Sanders. We will hear intersections and mutual influences between the sounds of North Africa, Caucasus, Persia, Europe and Brazil. Happy new ears, see you in december. Bon Voyage!
