TEEJ is a DJ/producer based in Brooklyn. Borrowing heavily from 90’s and 00’s desi music, he creates unassuming blends and edits mixing sounds from south asia with music from around the world.

This mix is a celebration of Punjabi music. Growing up in a Sikh home, I was exposed to Punjabi music through Kirtan (prayer songs), weddings (Punjabi folk music), bhangra at parties and grandparents who loved watching Zee Punjabi (god I have a love-hate relationship with that TV channel and its ads!).

Songs in the mix are all from Punjabi artists, blended with genres I am currently gravitating towards - afrobeats, baile funk, house, dub and dancehall.
