Chichi Mentira is a Berlin-based selector whose sets move fluidly between Latin Funk, Salsa, and 80s Brazilian and Balearic sounds. Lately, her focus has been on Brazilian soundsystem cultures of the 1980s and 90s, a time when Miami Freestyle collided with local rhythms, giving rise to styles like funk montagem and funk melody.

She is a member of the party collective La Nave del Olvido – Berlin’s most romantic party.
