Ræmble Session 1 : Hyperlison, Dougie Jones & Maggie
For the launch of my Ræmble residency on Radio Flouka, I invited Hyperlison and Dougie Jones for a B2B2B. We shared a moment of pure connection, brought together by a common musical ground.
As a surprise guest, Saria joined us while passing through Paris and took part in the recording, stepping in to play one track with us.
Can you guess which one?
From six to eight hands on the decks, the recording went by far too quickly.
Definitely something to do again — and soon. ღ
Ræmble is a podcast dedicated to bass music in all its forms, somewhere between introspection and the club, emotion and tension.
Its name comes from the meeting of rumble — the low-frequency growl that makes the body vibrate — and ramble, the idea of drifting, wandering without a set direction. ❤
A few words about my two guests:
Hyperlison is a sound enthusiast who started DJing a few years ago. She naturally gravitated toward bass, break and UK sounds before discovering drum & bass and jungle. Through these styles, she dives into the depth of the music and gradually makes its language her own. While bass music remains her main playground, she also explores wider territories — from hardgroove to minimal or tribe — sometimes blending everything into fluid, genre-crossing sets. What drives her is vibration, and that’s exactly what she aims to pass on behind the decks.
Dougie Jones, originally from the Basque Country, discovered electronic music in the 2010s through soundsystems and drum & bass nights in Toulouse. She began DJing a few years later in Paris, hosting shows on radios such as Egregore, Sub FM and Rinse France. Between chest-rattling basslines, restless breaks and emotional melodies, her mixes move across the full spectrum of bass music, balancing dancefloor intensity with more contemplative moments. She is a resident on Egregore Radio and a member of Trajectoire, a collective and label bringing together DJs and producers united by a shared love for bass music.
