Mariam Alasangre is a DJ, producer, and cultural researcher weaving Latin American and MENA influences into her sound. Based in Morocco, she founded SoundSisters, the country’s first women DJ collective and booking agency, hosting workshops and events to empower women in electronic music.
Her music bridges Brazil and Morocco, blending perreo, belly dance, conga, and qrqb rhythms. Hailing from the Brazilian countryside, she explores the Latin American diaspora through sound. Since 2020, she has collaborated with musicians from Mexico to Morocco, crafting a decolonized, cross-continental sonic experience.
