SONGO
SONGO is a Franco-Djiboutian DJ and multidisciplinary artist based in Paris. Drawing from her nomadic roots, she crafts a hybrid sound blending ancestral and futuristic Afro rhythms with house, Brazilian funk, and club music. After performing in West Africa, Brazil, and on an international tour with Shay Lia, she continues her sonic journey through powerful sets designed as spaces for liberation and reconnection.
This show takes listeners on a sonic journey through the tribal sounds of West Africa, Angola, and Côte d'Ivoire, while tracing Afro-diasporic movements in Brazil and Cuba. Blending afro, house, and funk influences, the show is an intentional and immersive space of healing, activation, and self-expression. It reflects the artist’s queer identity and serves as a spiritual and liberating experience.
